What is "Ticket"?

A ticket is basically a form containing the problem that you face. This form is submitted to support personnel of Shadi.com in order to inform them of your problems.

How do I create a ticket?

A ticket can be created by visiting shadi.com support area . Just fill out the form and your problem will be solved within 24-hrs.

What do I do after creating a ticket?

After you fill out the form stating your problem, an email will be sent to you (at the address that you have mentioned in the form). This email will contain your ticket number. You'll use this ticket number to login to Shadi.com's Customer Support. After logging on, you'll be able to see your query and Support Personnel's reply (Please allow 24-hrs for Support Personnel's reply). If you feel that you forgot to mention something in your query, you may add it in the same ticket OR you may open another ticket. You will be able to see all your previously opened tickets and their replies.

How many tickets can i open?

You may open any number of tickets.

What is open/close/answered ticket?

A ticket is in "open" state as soon as you create a new ticket. After your query in the ticket is answered by any of our Support Personnel, its status becomes "answered" and is listed under "answered" section. When you are satisfied with our answer, you may "close" the ticket. Closing the ticket does not delete it but rather removes it from your opened tickets section. If you visit any closed ticket and add comment / complain to it, it will be re-opened for you.

Email Address Verification mail not received?

Please go to http://shadi.com/public/verificationemail.aspx and enter your email address to receive the verification email. Click on the link provided in that email to activate your account. Create your profile and upload your photo.

Account or Password not working?

Please go to http://shadi.com/public/forgotpassword.php. Enter registered email address that you used at the time of registration and press the submit button. You will receive an email holding your account information on your registered email Address.

Email address verified but profile not created?

Your email address is registered and verified on our website but you have not created your profile till now. Please Login at your account on shadi.com and create your profile.

User tried to Registered but not successful?

Please open ticket with the email address you used at the time of registration. We are unable to find your email address the possible reason can be you failed to register your email address in our system. Please go on www.shadi.com and register again.

After becoming a member you can create your own profile and can see other person's profile. You can search for profiles based on different criteria and can send messages to those people.

Want to know the registration process?

Thanks for writing to us. Here are the steps you can follow to become shadi.com member.

1. Register yourself on www.shadi.com by providing your email address and password.
2. After a successful registration you will receive a verification email.
3. Click on the link provided in that email to activate your account.
4. Create your profile.
5. Go to payment page and select the membership level you would like.

After being a member you can see other person's profile. You can find profiles based on your criteria and can send message to those people.

Unable to submit profile?

We have not received your profile. May be you are taking too much time in filling your profile. Please try to fill your profile as soon as possible. You can edit your profile anytime you want. After creating profile you can upload your photo and do your payments.

Profile submission fails when your session expires due to inactivity on the site.

Times out while creating profile?

Please make sure you dont take too much time while filling up the form as this may result in session time out. You may write about yourself & your family somewhere first (for example in notepad) before opening our form & later copy-paste it in our form. This will save your time while filling it up.

Having problem in Photo upload?

On shadi.com the maximum size of each photograph cannot exceed 1 MB (right click on the picture to discover the size). Only gif and jpg pictures
are allowed to be uploaded at present. To upload your photograph, go to edit personal profile and click the upload photo link. Follow the instructions on that page.

If you feel you cannot do the above, please forward your picture to open ticket using the same email address you have registered with and mention your profile id.

Step by Step process of Photo Upload?

To upload photo please follow the steps below.

1. Please Login at your account and go on edit your profile page.
2. Click on the link "Upload Photo".
3. On the upload Photo click on the "Browse" button and select your photo from your computer hard drive.
4. Click on button "Upload".
5. The photo will be screened and approved by our graphics department and after the approval the main photo will be displayed with your profile.

Following the above procedure you can upload your five pictures.

Step by Step process of Photo Delete and Main Profile Photo Change?

To delete or change main profile photo follow the steps below.

1. Please Login at your account and go on edit your profile page.
2. Click on "Upload Photo". (If you already have some picture set as the main profile photo then first delete it by clicking on "Delete Photo")
3. Click on "Click Here to Edit Photo Gallery".
4. Click on "Delete Photo" to delete the photo or click on "Make Main Profile Photo" to set as Main Profile Photo".
5. The photo will be screened and approved by our graphics department and after the approval the main photo will be displayed with your profile.

Want to upload Group Photo?

We have received your photograph, but the same has not been uploaded. The photograph you have sent is a group photo and we find this confuses other users. May we please request you send us your individual photograph?

Unable to create photo gallery?

Main profile photo screening and approval takes around 24-48 hours. During this period you can not create your photo gallery. After the approval of your main profile photo you can upload more photos.

How to delete Main profile photo?

To delete main profile photo login at your account and go on edit your profile page. Click on "Delete Photo" link to delete your photo.

Choosing to show pictures to either all members of our site or only to star members?

You can opt for not displaying your picture to free members. Just click on the link 'Edit/Upload Picture' given on the left of the screen once you login & upload your picture. Then click on 'edit photo gallery' link & there you can choose to display your picture to either all members or just only paid members.

Photo Approval?

Once you upload/change your main picture, it needs to be approved by shadi.com admin for which it may take up to 48hrs.

Hide Photo?

On our site shadi.com you have 2 options to display your picture.

- All members can see my picture
- Only star members can see my picture

You can use the second option to restrict your picture.

Does your photograph represent the real you?

It is always better to upload eye-catching professional photos to your profile. It is vital to represent yourself in a relaxed and approachable way. Having an outstanding photograph on your profile is the sure key to success to attract the right person you want wish to meet. Studies have shown lasting impressions are made in the first three seconds of seeing someone.Have a professinal,take great shots to represent the real you.

Password protected photos

The need for privacy of your photo is ensured by shadi.com.Password protected feature has been designed for members who do not wish to display photos for all.The feature is very simple just assign a password to the photograph and it will become password protected.

You can display your photograph to members of your choice.You can give your photograph password only to those members in which you are genuinely interested in.Finally it is absolutely safe to add photo to your profile or change it is entirely on your own discretion.

Please login with your email id and password. On the bottom of welcome page you will see the link for "upgrade/Renew Membership" click on it and renew your membership.

Free Member Want to be a Star Member?

Please login on shadi.com and on the top of the page you will see the saying "Free member (Click here to upgrade to star membership)" click on it and you will be directed on the payment page.

Follow the instructions on the page for payments.

Unapproved Member Want to Star Member?

Please login on shadi.com. On the left of the page you will see the link "Goto Payment Page" click on it and you will be directed on the payment page.
Follow the instructions on the page for payments.

What is CSC?

he card security code (CSC) is usually a 3 - or 4 - digit number, which is not part of the credit card number. The CSC is typically printed on the back of a credit card (usually in the signature field).

Payment Verification?

On successful transaction Evalon Inc / CCAvenue / PayPal sends a verification email with complete detail of the transaction on your registered email address. Please send us the details of that email. We will check our records. On successful verification we will approve your profile or else will let you know.

Auto Renewal Cancellation?

Please login on shadi.com. On the bottom of the welcome page you will see the line that states 'Click here to cancel membership auto renewal'. Click on it and cancel your auto renewal.

Approved Member Unable to do Search?

To search and contact the members on our website follow the steps given.

1. Please Login at your account on shadi.com .
2. On the left of the welcome page you will see a section with the heading "Search Options". In this section you will able to see "Auto Match", "Advance Search", "Photo Search", "Quick Search", "Search by Profile Id".
3. Use any of the above mentioned searches to view profiles.
4. To view the complete profile of someone interesting click on "more details" button.
5. To initiate contact send him/her an email, flower or show interest in that particular profile.

 

Members want to hide Profile?

Please login to your account and go to edit personal profile. At the top of the page is a checkbox to hide profile.

Your profile will not be visible in any search. However you will be able to see your profile by searching by the profile number. Also if you write to any member, he/she will be able to see the profile.

Hope the above helps.

Don't want to display name?

Login at your account and go on edit your profile page and fill the screen name field. If you set your screen name then we will not display your real name anywhere on the site.

Want to Change information in the profile?

Login at your account on shadi.com. From your welcome page you will find the link to edit your profile (first link on the left of the screen). For email address and name change inform us using the contact us form using your registered email address. For other details you can modify them yourself.

How to enter phone number?

On shadi.com you are only allow to enter digit/number and hyphen (-). Please try to put the number in following format 111-123-22222.

Don't want to mention Telephone/Address in the personal profile?

Shadi.com does not display member's personal information for general display. You can mention your phone number, address without any hesitation. This information is for the Credit Card Company and shadi.com only.

Not getting good responses from the site. What can I do?

1. Improve the personal profile by writing something interesting from the point of view of the reader.
2. We cannot stress enough... UPLOAD your picture. The best pictures are the ones that prove you are in the country you say you are.
3. DON'T be a wallflower. Write to as many people as you can. Visit the site often to find new members.

Remember! Getting married is a life changing decision. Good things take time. Better to get to know the person first!

Mailbox not Opening?

Please login on shadi.com. On the left of the welcome page you will see the link "Mailbox". Click on it and you will be in your mailbox. Click on the subject of the message to read that message. For courtesy sake reply back the messages sent to you even if you do not wish to further communicate with them. To reply, simply click on the link "Reply" appearing on the top of the message. Compose your message and send.

Free members want to contact other members?

Being a free member you cannot write customized messages. However you can send standard message of shadi.com to any of the members by clicking on "Contact Me" button given beside profile.

How to delete Emails?

You can delete your email by following the mentioned steps.

- Go to your mailbox
- Select the Email you want to delete
- Select the option "Delete Emails" from dropdown menu appears at the bottom of the box
- Then click on button "Go"

Membership Request for Free Approval?

We are not able to confirm when you will be approved as a free member. Our free membership program is on hold due to our inability to keep up with the large number of registrations. You will receive an email from us if there is any change in your status. No further correspondence is necessary.

Unapproved members want to search Shadi.com's member?

Shadi.com is a private website specialized in finding matches for Non resident Indians and Pakistanis in the country of their residence. According to shadi.com privacy policy unapproved members cannot search our member's database and can not initiate contact with the members.

In order to search our member's database and contact with members you need to be an approved member of our site.

Unapproved Members want to avail other facilities?

Shadi.com is a private website specialized in finding matches for Non resident Indians and Pakistanis in the country of their residence. According to shadi.com privacy policy unapproved members cannot search our member's database and can not initiate contact with the members.

You are unapproved member. Without being an approved member you cannot avail other facilities. In order to avail other facilities you need to be an approved member of our site.

Delete Profile/Cancel Registration?

Do you want to completely delete your profile or you want to hide it for some time. Once you delete your profile it will be removed from the system permanently.

If you would only like to hide the profile then please login to your account and go to edit personal profile. At the top of the page is a checkbox to hide profile.

Your profile will not be visible in any search. However you will be able to see your profile by searching by the profile number. Also if you write to any member, he/she will be able to see the profile.

We would appreciate if you could send us some feedback on your experience at Shadi.com and help us improve and provide better service. Please confirm your request for deletion.

How do I receive a refund?

We can match you 90% of the time. To be successfully matched, depends on you spending some time and effort to upload a picture and write a personalized about myself. We are an introductions company not a marriage agency.

Please read carefully the following before writing to us regarding the refund.

Refund requests must be sent in polite language to our support team. Rude or abusive language will cause your ticket to be deleted. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

For administrative work setting up your paid account, You will be charged 20% of the membership cost or a minimum of $20.

  1. Shadi.com allows refund requests in the First 2 Days after the purchase of your subscription.
  2. If you have used the paid services like sending messages, viewing phone numbers, etc, your refund request will not be considered.

It takes a week to 10 days before you see the returned amount in your bank. We have no control over this process.

Delete Profile/Cancel Registration?

Do you want to completely delete your profile? Once you delete your profile it will be removed from the system permanently.

Registered on other Site?

On our website shadi.com there is not photo uploaded with your profile. You must be registered with another matrimonial website. Please check your email to verify the site URL.

Want to use Shadi chat but don't know how it works or never found a member in the chat room?

Shadi.com's Chat room is a place where members can chat with each other after deciding a specific time. You need to set the time with the other member you would like to chat with first and use this Chat room for private and public chat.

Error while using Shadi Chat Room?

"This account is using. Please try again" means that a user want to get in a room and the server rejects him. This usually happens when a user closes the chat window without logging out. The system resets itself in 3 to 5 minutes.
